We’re excited to share that our church will be moving from Elvanto to ChurchSuite church administration software early next year. ChurchSuite is a modern, easy-to-use system designed specifically for churches — helping us stay better connected, communicate more easily, and manage ministries more smoothly. It’s owned and run by Christians who share a strong heart for serving the church.
As part of this move, we’ll be securely transferring your personal information from Elvanto to ChurchSuite. Your privacy and data security is a key priority, and everything will continue to be handled in line with our privacy policy. If you have any questions or concerns about your personal information, please contact the church office.
Moving from Elvanto to ChurchSuite
FAQ
1. Why are we moving to ChurchSuite?
ChurchSuite provides an easier and more powerful way to organise church life. It helps us communicate more effectively, manage rosters and events, and support our ministries from one integrated platform. It’s also built and supported by a Christian team with a deep understanding of church life.
2. What is ChurchSuite?
ChurchSuite is a secure online system used by thousands of churches around the world. It helps both staff and members stay connected through tools for communication, event planning, volunteer coordination, and more.
3. What features does ChurchSuite have?
Whilst we won’t introduce all features straight away, ChurchSuite includes a range of features to help us stay organised and connected as a church. Here are some of the key features:
👥 People Database – securely store and manage contact details, pastoral notes, and ministry involvement.
🗓️ Events & Sign-ups – share upcoming events, manage registrations, print nametags and track attendance.
💬 Communication Tools – send emails or messages to teams, groups, or the whole church.
🧒 Children & Youth Check-In – safely manage attendance and sign-ins for kids programs.
🔁 Teams – organise volunteers for Sunday services and other ministries.
📖 Small Groups – list Bible study and community groups so people can find and join one easily.
These features work together so that communication, planning, and ministry coordination all happen in one place — simple, secure, and built for churches.
4. When will this happen?
We’ll begin setting up ChurchSuite over the coming months, with the goal of being fully live in February. We’ll share more details and instructions closer to that time.
5. What’s happening with my personal information?
We’ll securely transfer your contact details and relevant ministry information from Elvanto to ChurchSuite to make sure everything continues smoothly. No information will be shared beyond what’s necessary for church administration.
6. Is my information safe?
Yes. ChurchSuite complies with strict data protection standards, including GDPR. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation — it’s a European privacy law that came into effect in May 2018. It sets strict rules about how organisations (including churches) collect, store, and use people’s personal information.
Even though it’s a European regulation, it represents best practice in data protection. This can give you confidence that:
Personal information (like names, emails, phone numbers, and volunteer records) is handled with high security standards.
People’s privacy rights are respected and transparent.
Data is encrypted, securely stored, and only accessible to authorised users.
7. Do I need to do anything right now?
No action is required at this stage. Once we’re ready to launch, you’ll receive an invitation to access your ChurchSuite profile and check your details.
8. Will I still have control over my information?
Yes — you’ll be able to log in, review, and update your details at any time. You can also choose what others in the church directory can see.
9. Who can I contact with questions or concerns?
If you have any questions about ChurchSuite or how your information is being managed, please contact office@stmatts.org.au.
